Confessions of a TV addict

Si hay algo consistente en mi que no ha cambiado (y parece que no va a serlo) es mi obsesión con las series de televisión. Es hasta gracioso. Estas hasta se turnan. No se porque me pasa esto, y me pregunto si soy la única víctima! Es rarísimo. Veo tantas series wao..y siempre me pasa que de la nada me obsesiono con UNA en especifico, y como por lo general estoy atrasada en todas, birreo sin parar la que me obsesiona y olvido las demás...hasta que un día (como hoy) me siento culpable de haberlas dejado en el abandonó. Porque sí, siempre termino viéndolas. Es muy, muy raro que no las termine.

Ahorita mismo estoy obsesionada con Once Upon A Time, estoy a tiempo y todo. Pero entonces que pasa con mis otros bebis? Hay tantas que me extrañan como televidente...Bates Motel, Carrie Diaries, Gossip Girl Acapúlco, Glee, 24, Girls, Mad Men entre otras. (porque sí, obviamente hay mas.) Lo peor del casa es que hay aún mas todavía que me llaman para que me una al culto, y lo peor es que mato por! (House of Cards, Arrow, Scandal, Criminal Minds, Agents of SHIELD, Game of Thrones, Nashville)

Como verán esto es un ciclo sin fin...
Es una vaina fuera de este mundo, quiero ver todo. Que lástima que el día solo tiene 24 horas....Les juro que si tuviera 25 yo haría el tiempo para un episodio más al día.

If there's something consistent in my life that's possibly gonna stay like way as long as I live, it's my obsession with TV shows. You could say it's sort of funny. This shows totally take turns on me. I don't even know why this happens, or if I'm the only victim, but it is really weird. You see, I watch many, many, many TV shows.....and it always happened that I out of nowhere get obsessed with a specific one.... and since I'm like always behind on everything, I end up marathoning that ONE show and neglecting the rest. Until one day (that day being today) , I end up  even feeling guilty for having neglected all the other ones. Because yes, of course I end up finishing every single one. It's very very rare for me to drop them.

As of right now, I'm obsessed with Once Upon A Time, I'm on schedule and everything. But then, what about my other babies? That being: Bates Motel, Carrie Diaries, Gossip Girl Acapulco, Glee, 24, Girls, Mad Men and others. (why, yes. There's obviously more) What's even worse about this is that there's so many other shows I can't wait to start watching(House of Cards, Arrow, Scandal, Criminal Minds, Agents of SHIELD, Nashville, Game of Thrones). Tv's like a cult, and I kinda wanna be a part of every single branch. 

As you can see, it's a never-ending cycle. Something out of this world, I wanna see it ALL. So sad the day only has 24 hours, I swear that if it had an extra one I'd make time for at least one extra episode a day...

Hola! Hoy es Sábado, cosa que significa en mi bloguidiccionario "día de favoritos". Hoy me pase haciendo Toefl la mitad del día y la otra mitad mermando. Sí eso del TOEFL fue mega sofocante, odio esos exámenes de circulitos como no tienen idea. Aunque whatever, estoy segura que me fue súper.

Hey! Today' Saturday, which to my blogguidictionary means "favorites day". Today I spent half the day doing my TOEFL exam and the other half doing pretty much nothing. Although that TOEFL thing was pretty suffocating, you guys don't even know how much I loathe standarysed tests. Whatever, I'm sure I did fine.

Tal vez lo este sobre-analizando, como dicen mis amigos que hago con absolutamente todo, pero esta imagen me hiso pensar en como cuando te casas con alguien, les quieres dar hasta la luna. Que idea tan bonita no? No puedo ni comenzar a describirle lo fokop que me parece querer tanto a alguien que comprometerte a serle fiel por el resto de tu vida, y actually serlo. Una belleza y tristemente un milagro hoy en día.

I saw this on tumblr today, and I don't know if this is 'cause of my regular drama-queen self, but I swear this picture took my breath away. This image's totally worth more a thousand words-

Maybe this is just me over analyzing everything like my friends say I do with just about everything, BUT this picture totally made me think about marriage. About how you're supposed to want to give the moon and stars to your significant other. Isn't it the most beautiful idea? I can't even start to describe how amazing I think it is to love someone so much that you're willing to spend the rest of your life with them and actually be faithful. A beauty and sadly a miracle nowadays.

Ahora mismo leo Looking for Alaska y esta ÍNCREIBLE. Sueño con un día escribir algo tan significativo para tantos como el a hecho tantas veces.

If you read what I wrote about one of his books (The Fault In Our Stars) a few weeks ago, you'll know I think he's THE shit. I want to big like him! I love what he does, and I love even more that he loves what he does too. Everything's awesome, from his youtube videos (search him: vlogbrothers) to his books that just keep getting better! I'm currently reading Looking For Alaska and it's just WOW. I dream about someday writing something that means as much as his work means to soooooo many people.

Coachella 2014

Como cualquier mortal, quiero ir a Coachella. Obviamente no fui y eso me deprime un poco pero bueno, en algún momento de mi vida iré...lo juro!

Like every mortal, I wanna go to Coachella...I obviously didn't make it and although that's a little depressing I know I'll go some day. I swear!

En este post les tengo unas fotos que saqué de internet de algunos celebrities con looks que me llamaron la atención, por alguna razón la humanidad decidió en  conjunto que Coachella es EL lugar para todos vestirse como fucking locos, y obviamente eso me fascina. AMO los disfraces. 

On this post I'm sharing with you some pictures from around the web of the outfits which called my attention the most. I don't know why, but for some reason humanity decided it's OK to dress like a fucking crazy person at Coachella, and I obviously all for it. I LOVE costumes.

I find Kylie slightly cooler than Kendall. I've heard she is NUTS and that's sort of evident with her outfits, which were awesome at Coachella. She's a rockstar.

(On the last picture, you can't see her a lot but if you look closely you'll see she's the prettiest! P.S WTF is Selena wearing? Is that someone's table cloth or something?)

I generally think Vanessa Hudgens is trying too hard to look cool, but I must say she looked like a dessert princess at Coachella. BEAUTIFUL!

Hola chicos! Es sábado, mi día favorito de la semana y también hora de compartirles las cosas que más me gustaron. Como siempre espero descubran algo nuevo o se acuerden de algo que hace rato les gustaba mucho y se les olvido cuanto (aveces es mas divertido recordar que descubrir pienso yo).

Hace rato llevo escuchando acerca de The 1975 pero la verdad nunca me había sentado a escuchar su álbum, cosa que hice esta semana mientras ordenaba mi cuarto y esta INCREIBLE. No quise poner pausa en ningún momento. Ya les he mencionado cuanto amo a los que cantan historias, y The 1975 hace eso exactamente. Cuentan una historia diferente en cada canción. Desde ya puedo saber que esta va a ser una de mis bandas favoritas por el resto de mi vida.  Creo que mis favoritas del album son Sex, Chocolate y Girls sin orden particular. I've been hearing about The 1975 for a while but I had never really sat to listen to their album, which I did this week while cleaning up my room and let me tell you something....its INCREDIBLE. I didn't even want to pause it ever. I've previously talked about how much I love songs that are stories, I think those are the best, and the 1975 does exactly that. They tell a different story within every track. I can already tell this is gonna be one of my favorite bands for the rest of my life. I think my album favorites are "Sex", "Chocolate" and "Girls". Above I shared the link for their full album so you can check it out. I seriously encourage you guys to listen. I really doubt you'll regret it.

a.) They remind me about pirates, and all my life I've had a fascination for pirates. I remember how  on my quinceañera trip I almost peed myself in excitement when I found a little mickey cap that said "Pirate Princess" (cause that's obviously me!) and I bought it without looking at the price....

y b.) me parece que es un reminder que dentro, todos somos iguales. La supuesta superioridad de las clases sociales es una ilusión.

and b.) I think it's a nice reminder that deep down we're all the same. The supposed superiority of certain social classes is just an ilusion.

Ahorita estoy más que obsesionada con Divergent. Acabe la serie de libros y quiero ver las películas YA! Me enamore del male lead desde el primer libro, me parece tan manly y eso siempre me ha parecido súper sexy. Gracias a Dios escogieron a un hombre que aunque tal vez se vea medio viejo para el papel, a mi parecer da la talla, y aunque no he visto nada de el he escuchado que es excelente actor y súper dominante en escena.

As of right now, I'm more than obsessed with Divergent. I finished the book series and I want to see the first movie SO SO bad. I fell in love with the male since the first book. He's described as very manly, and I've always thought that is very sexy. Thanks God they casted a guy that looks the part, even though he might be a little too old for the role. Whatever, I think he's great. And even though I haven't seen the movie I've heard he's an excellent actor and really dominating on screen.

Ok, no se si lo han notado pero siendo una futura estudiante de cine estoy intentando ver películas de todos lados y con todos los budgets, y así mismo las pongo en mis favoritas. Trato de que sean independientes mas que nada. La idea de estos favoritos y este blog en general es que descubran cosas conmigo. Pero al César lo de César y pienso que Captain America: The Winter Soldier se merece su lugar en esta lista. Yo amo, amo, AMO los súper héroes, no hay duda de eso. Hasta tengo el sueño de cuando sea una productora exitosa producirme mi propia película en donde yo pueda ser toda una badass, talvez un remake de Wonder Woman o algo mas tipo Indiana Jones no se. Me parece esencial para la sanidad mental de todos que sigan existiendo super heroes. 

A mi me encanta la historia de Captain America, me parece de las mejores que hay. Hasta he decidido leer los comics. Tienen que ser igual de buenos que las películas. El personaje principal Steve Rogers, dado a la vida por el igual GUAPO como TALENTOSISISISISISÍMO Chris Evans es un personaje muy interesante. Son pocos los que dan la vida y más por hacer lo correcto sin importar lo que en verdad quieren hacer ellos. Bueno, anyways el new installment de la franquicia  esta increíble. Véanlo.

Ok, I'm not sure if you've noticed but being a future film student I really do try to watch all kinds of movies, and just like that, I place them on my favorites. I almost always try to make these independent films, since the idea of picking these favorites is to discover new stuff and share it with you guys. But "give to Caesar what is Caesar's" and I think "Captain America: The Winter Soldier "deserves a spot on this list. I love, love, LOVE superheroes, there's no doubt about that. I even dream about producing a movie where I can be a superhero....maybe a Wonder Woman remake or something more like Indiana Jones when I'm an awesome, successful and kick-ass producer. I think it's essential for this generation's mental health to keep superheroes alive.

I actually really like Captain America's story, I think it's one of the best ones. I've even decided to read the comic books. They gotta be as good as the movies. Steve Rogers, the main character played by the super talented and incredibly handsome Chris Evans, is a really interesting. Theres not many lead characters that actually make doing the right thing without hesitation. Well, please go check out the franchise's new installment, 'cause it's amazing.

Confessions of a bookworm: Finishing a series

Como muchas personas de mi edad que disfrutan de la lectura, me he metido en la guilla de las series de libros. Al principio siempre parece una excelente idea, digo, leer nunca esta de más no? Pero si, aveces sí, para gente como yo que no es capas de drop it sí. Cada vez que acabo una, siento mi vida parar. Es hasta gracioso, nada importa. Es como si mi mundo girara (siendo honesta, lo hace #sorrynotsorry) alrededor de estos personajes ficticios. Me importan demasiado!

Una de las cosas que mas amo es ver a mis libros convertirse en series, por lo general no soy de la gente que se cabrea cuando no es exactamente igual al libro. Entiendo muy bien que no tiene que serlo, una película y un texto no tienen los mismos medios para transmitir un mensaje, es normal que el rawness de los detalles de un libro se pierdan en una película.

Like anyone my age who enjoys reading, I've definitely gotten into the book-series obsession. At the beginning, it always seems like a good idea. Reading NEVER seems to not be the right thing to do. But yes, sometimes it can get pretty obsessive. I guess you can call it funny. Once I finish a book series I swear my world stops. It's like my world literally spins around this made-up characters (being honest, it kinda does.. #sorrynotsorry) Nothing matters but them. I care SO SO much.

One of the things I enjoy most is watching my beloved books on the big screen. I'm generally not the kind of people who get angry when it's not 100% loyal to the book. I understand that sometimes it doesn't have to be, and that's completely fine. A movie and a book are two completely different ways to tell a story, it's natural that the rawness of the book can sometimes be lost in the movie.

Hoy acabe el tercer y último libro de Divergent por Veronica Roth y la verdad me fascino.

Estaba muerta del miedo por leerlo, amaba la historia, los personajes y me identifique con Tris, la principal, mas que con ningún otro personaje en mi vida. Sucede que a BUCO gente no le gusto del todo el final, y a mi me daba miedo me pasara lo mismo. Después de hablarlo con una amiga decidí que ya era hora de grow some balls y leerlo y ya, que a ella le había parecido perfecto y realista, que lo leyera yo también. ...Oígan y que bien que le hice caso.

Que belleza de final. He aprendido tanto con los libros que aveces me pregunto que hace la gente que no lee. ¿Como moldan sus pensamientos y como creces como persona sin la ayuda de estos personajes? Me parece rarísimo, ni si quiera me lo puedo imaginar!

Today I finished the third and final book of the Divergent series by Veronica Roth and I can honestly say I loved it. I was really scared to read the last one, since so many people hated it and I had already fallen in love with the story and the characters. I identified with the leading lady, Tris like I had never identified before with a book character. I had a conversation with a friend that practically forced me to grow some balls and read the book with the heartbreaking ending, and let me tell you something...it was AMAZING. It was sad and beautiful and perfect...and I loved it! 

What a beautiful ending. I've learned so much reading that I can't help but wonder how do people that don't read do life? How they mold themselves and grow as people without the help of imaginary characters? It sounds so weird to me! I can't even picture it.

Si ustedes son de leer series, como yo (creo que no soy la única que le pasa) entenderán este feeling de QUE HAGO AHORA CON MI VIDA AGHHH!! que gobierna mi cuerpo....

Esperar a la película del primer libro supongo. Sucks como todas las películas salen tan tarde en Panamá... la quiero ver para ya!! Aquí les dejo el trailer, para ver si se emocionan y me acompañan en el movement de ladillar a los cines panameños para que se muevan y traigan la película ASAP

If you guys are like me and really enjoy reading series, I'm pretty sure you're familiar with these "AGHHH WHAT DO I DO WITH MY LIFE NOW!?!?" moment.

I guess the answer's to wait for the movie to get to Panama. That's the one thing I hate about movie theaters here, movies are always sooooo late. In the hopes that you are living in Panama and really want to see the movie like me, I'll leave the trailer down below to get you excited so we can both go bother every movie theatre and insist we want Divergent NOW.

Como he mencionado antes, soy un dancer at heart. Con 16 años de clases de ballet, jazz y ballet moderno under my belt puedo decir que el baile es de mis cosas favoritas del mundo y que extraño mis clases como nada en la vida. Estoy subscrita a miles y miles de cuentas de bailarinas a youtube para ver sus coreografías con las que compiten y les cuento que esta de Flawless bailado por Kaycee Rice me MATO. Es perfecta. Beyonce would approve.

Like I've mentioned before, I'm a dancer at heart.With 16 years of ballet, jazz dance and contemporary I can say that dance is one of my favorite things on earth. I miss my classes like you could never imagine. Therefore, I'm subscribed to many dancer's channels since they upload their choreographies and competitions and I really enjoy watching those. Today I found "Flawless" danced by Kaycee Rice and let me tell you it's PERFECTION. She killed it. Beyonce would so approve...
