Bueno pues, hablando claro si daba BUCA BUCA pereza.

I don't know if you followed my instagram account I made for it, @100daysofgaby, but I can tell you that yes, I definitely followed the trend and did the "100 happy days challenge" without missing a single day. Today I've decided to share my experience. I had a lot of fun posting pics, although I confess that I used to kind of really hate instagram and now I kind of really love it. I might sound really stalker-ish, but I love seeing what other people do with their days! hahaha
Well, Now lets be real. It got kind of boring a lot of the time. For day 40, I already wanted to be done BUT hey, I finish what I start and guess what...I finished yesterday! Its true that I learned many beautiful things throughout this challenge. I'm not going to say that I learned to be happy, because I don't really think happiness works that way. It is more of a process and I'm only starting. Although I must say that with the challenge I learned to really really look for happiness....even if it's hiding under a rock! For example, I can tell you guys that there were some really hard days in which I wasn't happy at all and I still had to sit down and think about what to right for the frikin happy days thing. I even had 2 funerals of people I really cared about during the challenge. I tried to be honest all the time though, if I wasn't happy I made it clear posting something like: "today I'm actually sad, but dinner's delicious and that's nice. Living comfortably in a family that can afford to feed me makes me happy", at the end of the day there's so many people that can't have that. Truth is, searching for happiness is hard. More than once I felt that this challenging was forcing me to try to cover the sun with one finger and ignore my problems that I really had to face and fix, but then again there was also days that I felt this challenge was the best thing in the world and that I had to extend it to extend my happiness
Happiness isn't measured in hashtags or "happydays", its measured in smiles or that feeling when you suddenly stop feeling sleepy on that drowsy Monday morning because of that yummy cup of coffee you just had. I really like the fact that I did this challenge, and I thank God that my cousin suggested it to me. I'm not gonna sit here and lie to you guys saying this changed my life, because it didn't. What it sure did was to help me stay on track. My life is changing for the better. I'm cleaning myself from the inside out and I've decided to be happy. This has become an adventure, and I love adventures! And of course I'm taking you guys with me. I know I've been inconsistent with my posting lately but that's about to change. I've befriended two fellow bloggers (Ana, from http://pandeguineo.net/ and Irene from http://styleandstrikepty.blogspot.com/) and we inspire each other to keep on posting!
